You are at a great and epic party, as always there is someone right in front of you with his smartphone to film or take pictures of the party. Ofcourse thats no problem, except that the light of the smartphone shines in your face. Meet KIMD, a camera app made for festival and party people.
The idea behind the app is like a concert experience for you and your fellow visitors, no flashy screens in your face or too much light but just an app that takes photographs and makes movies. KIMD disables the flashlight on your smartphone and dims the screen so other visitors and the artists ar not annoyed. The motto behind the app is 'Be KIMD. When you open the app, the screen brightness is reduced to ten percent and displays a black transparent layer over the image to further dim the screen.
The interface is simple and bright enough so that you can still see what you're doing. Press once on the screen to focus, press the virtual button to take a picture and when you press it longer it will start video recording. You can choose to see the pictures in the standard photos-app or in the built-in gallery.
The app is currently only available for iOS, but an Android version is on the way. More information about the app can be found on the official website.
